Percy Ashcraft To Be Inducted Into Membership on the 18th

Bring your smiles and best wishes to the club meeting on Wednesday and welcome Percy into our club and be sure to say hello to Shel Bolyard-Douglas who was inducted last week.  Shel is a new Rotarian and Percy has been a Rotarian prior to moving to Prince George.  Percy is the Prince George County Administrator and Shel is the Director of Prince George Social Services.

Picnic is Tomorrow

By now the tickets have been sold and delivered.  Nanny's has the Prince George Rotary Club Picnic on its calendar.  Scott Park is reserved.

Tomorrow (May 4th) we will picnic with our members and community friends from 4 to 7 pm.  Bill, Ruth and the Browns will dance and delight everyone.

The Picnic is in honor of Jerry Taylor who was the founding Treasurer of the club in 1996 and passed away the following year.  Two years the club held a fundraising dinner in his honor.  In 1999 we changed the event to a spring picnic at the suggestion of his family members who thought a casual, kid friendly picnic was more in keeping with Jerry's personality.

So, once again, Jerry, many of us will be remembering you, your reputation as a superior accountant and of your very funny sense of humor.  Peace

Annual Fundraising Picnic

The Prince George Rotary's Picnic, its annual fundraiser, will be held Wednesday, May 4 at Scott Park in Prince George County from 4 to 7 p.m.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under.  Tickets can be purchased from Prince George Rotarians, at Prince George Pharmacy, Parker's Grocery and from Sebera's Custard Shop.  Music (DJ), adult beverages, Nanny's Bar-B-Que, fellowship and good works.www.princegeorgecountyrotary.org/princegeorgerotarypicnic.cfm

Maiden Voyage

This is the proposed logo for the Canoe/Kayak launch the club has been instrumental in building.  The District 7600 District Simplified Grant really made it possible, as well as our Rotary, FOLAR, County and Ft. Lee volunteers.
